Damit wären wir is a standard transition phrase in lectures and presentations: Damit wären wir beim letzten Punkt ('That brings us to the last point'). The Konjunktiv II wären gives a polished, slightly tentative feel. It is almost exclusively used in prepared speech to signal orderly progression through an agenda.
